Terms and Conditions

1 - Summary
These terms and conditions apply to all guests of any hotels & apartments booked via Dahab.Net, where no other or contradictory conditions are stipulated by the hotel/apartment owner itself.

2 - Bookings
Guests may only book in advance. Bookings are subject to availability of the respective hotels/apartments. Hotels/apartment owners retain the right to refuse bookings. Payment is normally due on departure, however the hotel/apartment owner retains the right to request a deposit from the guest at the time of booking or on arrival.

3 - Arrival and departure times
Check in for guests is from 2pm. In cases where a guest does not arrive before 2pm and has not informed the hotel of a late arrival time, the hotel retains the right to give the room away. Guests are requested to clear their rooms and pay their bill by 10am on their day of departure. The hotel retains the right to charge for a further night's accommodation in cases of late departure or payment of the bill.

4 - Prices
All prices are current room rates and can be requested directly from the hotel. Prices for extras such as meals in the restaurants or room service are available at the hotel or can be requested directly.

5 - Payment
A non-refundable deposit is needed latest one week after booking is made.
Hotels and Apartment owners reserve themselve the right to ask for the remaining balance before arrival, or upon arrival in Dahab. All final bills must be settled latest on departure.

6 - Cancellation
In cases of cancellation by the guest, the hotel/apartment owner retains the right to charge the following cancellation charges:
a) Cancellation fee before arrival: 20% for low season; 50% for booking within high-season
b) For apartments: cancellation less than 2 months before arrival: 100% of the full booking amount.
c) Cancellation fee after arrival or during the stay: payment of the full booking amount
We recommend you to get a travel insurance, which can reimburse you the fees in case of cancellation.

7 - Right to refuse entry
The hotel/apartment ownerretains the right to refuse a guest entry to the hotel or to refuse accommodation if the management is led to believe that the guest is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, is inappropriately dressed or behaves in a threatening, disturbing or otherwise unacceptable manner on arrival

8 - Disturbances
The hotel/apartment owner retains the right to ask a guest to leave should the guest disturb the peace, or annoy or insult any guests or hotel staff, or behave in any other way deemed unacceptable by the hotel/apartment owner.

9 - Hotel conditions
Guests are asked to abide by their hotel's own conditions, in particular any health and safety rules and legal registration requirements. Guests may only consume meals and drinks not purchased at the hotel after specific permission by the hotel. Pets may stay in the guests' room providing they are always under control, clean and healthy and do not present any danger. However they are not permitted in other areas of the hotel (permission should be requested in advance)

10 - Valuables
Guests should leave valuables in the hotel safe.

11 - Loss, responsibility
Guests must inform hotel staff immediately of any loss of or damage to their property, and must support the hotel in reporting such incidents to the police. The hotel is in no way responsible for the loss of or damage to guests' property, which occurs as a result of inappropriate or irresponsible behaviour by the guest, or where the guest has used unnecessary force, or in situations where the guest is responsible for the property.

Guests are not permitted to enter areas of the hotel which are indicated as closed to the public. The hotel is not responsible for death, injuries or illness, or loss of or damage to property of guests that may occur while in non-permitted areas.

The hotel will cover loss of or damage to guests' property up to a limit of Euro 75 per item, or a total of Euro 150. Cases of guests' property held in the hotel safe, or that may be damaged or stolen as a result of gross negligence on the part of the hotel will be dealt with on a case by case basis and are not subject to this rule.

These terms and conditions are laid out according to egyptian law, and any disagreements arising as a result of this contract are subject to egyptian law.

Guests will be held responsible for any loss, damage or property or injury that they directly cause.
The hotel is in no way responsible for the loss of or damage to guests' vehicles. Exceptions to this rule will be made where gross negligence or irresponsbile behaviour of the hotel is the direct cause of loss or damage.

Guests are requested to read any announcements posted at reception regarding the loss of or damage to guests property.
In order to avoid confusion, the hotels does not exempt itself from responsibility for personal injuries caused as a result of negligence by the hotel.

The hotel will do all in its power to ensure that bookings are made in accordance with these terms and conditions; the hotel retains the right to transfer the booking to another hotel of comparable size and standard, in the same area. The guest is aware that the hotel is in no way responsible for any loss or damage that may occur in the other hotel.

The hotel is in no way responsible for xxxx or delays with regard to its adherence to the terms and conditions in this contract, when such xxxx and delays are a direct result of circumstance outside of the control of the hotel, in particular war, threat of war, civil or political unrest or demonstrations, marches, natural disasters, fire, epidemic outbreaks, storms (threats of or actual), terrorist activity, military activity, government activity, work disputes, acts of God, power cuts, failure of machinery, failure or disruption to services provided by third parties or similar cases which are outside of the control of the hotel.

Important note: Contracts are held with any hotels, dive centres or other businesses whose services you may engage in Dahab. As the agency between parties, Dahab.net is not responsible for any part of these terms and conditions
